I have done a simple research on the jobscope as a doctot. To qualify as a doctor, we have to ask ourselves :-
1. Am I willing to sacrifice my time, my energy and basically my life?
2. Can I BEAR not to sleep at least 7 hours a day?
3. Can I concentrate even with the drowsiness?
4. Am I motivated enough to become a doctor? Can I NOT blame myself if anything goes wrong with the patient due to MY carelessness?
5. Can I handle stress well?
6. Can I be on-call for 12 hours straight in a day, without stopping to rest?
7. Am I myself strong and healthy enough?
8. Can I stand the high-tense environment working as a doctor?
9. Am I willing to risk others lives for the betterment of profession? (in such a way as to practise a new and 'better' type of treatment that is not insured 100% safe)
Anyway, to anyone who want to apply for medicine, I should advise you to reconsider these questions.
This is a quote I get from another blog (not EXACT quote)...'Being a doctor is not a glamourous career, its about the sacrifice...'
'Being a doctor is an act of showing the patients that God still cares."
